Q: How were you inspired to start your business?

I had been running a very corporate business since my children were young so I could be home for them. 26 years later they’d all grown up and left home and I was still doing the same job, which I’d never really enjoyed. It was a means to an end, it was an income, but I was bored, isolated working from home, and needed to rediscover my life. A huge life change gave me the opportunity to try something different, so I did.

Q: How much do you love what you do?

I do what I love, and I love what I do! I love the people I work with, and I love to see the change they bring about in their own lives. I guide and inspire, I help people learn to love themselves again and rediscover their freedom to love life, but they do the work – and the realization that they can be the person they aspire to be is priceless.

Q: If you could go back to a point in your life when you were facing a challenge, what inspirational advice would you give yourself?

I’ve had many challenges in my life, and I have learned from every one of them. Each lesson learned is a step towards becoming who you really are. Your authentic self. Your wonderful, loveable, perfect self. Life can be tough but so are you. You’ve lived through every one of the worst days of your life, and you’re still here to talk about it. You tell the story, over and over again. Your story defines you. You live with the story and nothing changes. Now is the time to change the story, and change your life.

Q: Tell us how your business inspires your customers!

Most of my clients are at a crossroads in life, of some sort. They know they want change but have no idea what they want or how to make it happen. I’ve been there, I speak from experience. I’ve changed my life. It’s not my training that inspires them, it’s being able to relate to what’s going on with them, what they’ve been through, being able to guide and inspire them in a real life way. There’s no judgement or criticism, just simple solutions and strategies to help change the way they see themselves and their own challenges, which in turn helps change their life.

Q: Knowing you aren’t alone in something and that there is light at the end of the tunnel means a lot when you are feeling low. What is a typical problem someone you work with might be facing and how do you guide them back into the light?

Having someone who listens, really listens, and can appreciate what you’ve been through is a good start, whatever the issue. Typical problems someone might face are things like anxiety, insomnia, lack of self-esteem, lack of confidence, stress, anger, unexplained weight gain, poor relationships, social withdrawal, feeling unloved or even unloveable, feeling unhappy or unfulfilled – but these are all symptoms. The real cause will be something much deeper and fundamental. Together we uncover the root cause and devise a plan to move forward in a different way.

Q: As people we are always evolving and learning things on our life journey. Where do you find inspiration?

I never stop learning. I find inspiration in everything and everyone around me. From nature and the sea, from even the trashiest novels and from people I meet along the way. And from my own mistakes!

Q: Businesses are always evolving too… what are you inspired to do next?

I’m currently devising an online course, group workshops and, of course, writing the book. What’s next? More of the same then who knows… watch this space!
