Q: How were you inspired to start your business?

I’m passionate about kids wellbeing. I’m a mum of two and have discovered some great tools and techniques which really help. I want as many people as possible to know about these and prevent more kids growing up with mental health problems. Being emotionally rounded and aware of the importance of physical health and safety can make life so much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Q: How much do you love what you do?

I love seeing the discussions develop on the facebook group and watching members support each other. With the magazine, I really enjoy writing and helping others to get their messages and stories across. I’m connecting with such fantastic people;- great experts, individuals willing to share their personal stories to help others and young people sharing their own views and the positive things they are doing, it’s wonderful.

Q: If you could go back to a point in your life when you were facing a challenge, what inspirational advice would you give yourself?

There were many tough times when I was a single mum with two little ones, I don’t know why at the time I didn’t ask for help, read more about bringing up kids and look for other support. My advice would be ‘you don’t have to do anything alone. There’s lots of people and resources to help you with whatever you are struggling with, go and find them .’

Q: Tell us how your business inspires your customers!

I hope the facebook group, magazine and future events will be a great support to many. They showcase lots of great products, services and fabulous activities that kids and adults can do alone and together . They inspire people to try new things, and learn from and be encouraged by the stories and experiences of others. The magazine contains special offers and chances to win too.

Q: Knowing you aren’t alone in something and that there is light at the end of the tunnel means a lot when you are feeling low. What is a typical problem someone you work with might be facing and how do you guide them back into the light?

Typically parents might be struggling with their child’s behaviour. Positive Kids helps them get advice and support and find new ways of dealing with the situation.

Q: As people we are always evolving and learning things on our life journey. Where do you find inspiration?

I love to read about others life experiences – maybe I am a bit nosey too, but finding out what others have tried and the things that have overcome, really inspires me.

Q: Businesses are always evolving too… what are you inspired to do next?

I want to continue to grow Positive Kids :-
• to have more members in the facebook group
• more people reading the magazine
• get more experts involved ;- child development, nutrition, coaches, teachers, health professionals, authors etc
• interview celebrities, politicians and charity leaders for the magazine
• run events and workshops.
