Q: How were you inspired to start your business?
Initially I started because I had struggled with anxiety and severe depression my whole life and in an attempt to rescue myself from total misery, I went down a path of self-development. This led me to discover Creatrix® and after my own breakthrough wanted to help women like me, so I began coaching with it in mind that I would train to facilitate Creatrix® for others once I saved the money and found the time. At the end of 2014, I was pregnant with my 3rd child and decided to go on early maternity leave, take a WRIP (sort of like a redundancy) and quit teaching to grow my business and take on the world.
Sadly, in February of 2015 at 7 months pregnant my baby died, and I was forced to deliver her stillborn. It threw my plan into disarray as I dealt with the grief and loss. I decide not to quit teaching and instead trained to become a Creatrix® facilitator and group facilitator and begin working with Creatrix® clients as well as coaching. I’m now growing my business to eventually leave teaching so that I can create a legacy for my daughter. I am inspired to do this as I know that the strength that Creatrix® enabled me to tap into kept me alive through the traumatic experience of losing a baby.
Q: How much do you love what you do?
I’m so passionate about what I do, helping women to develop their emotional resilience and strength so that they can tackle the challenges of life fills me with joy and there’s nothing more satisfying than the look on the face of a woman after a Creatrix® breakthrough.
Q: If you could go back to a point in your life when you were facing a challenge, what inspirational advice would you give yourself?
After my daughter’s stillbirth I was actually the best supported I could ever have been. So I would go back to the me before Creatrix®, the stressed out suicidal me in the fetal position on the floor of our kitchen at the time and tell her that “Life can be different, the pain can go away, but you have to be willing to go after the solution.”
Q: Tell us how your business inspires your customers!
My work with clients means that they get deeply in touch with their authentic self and what decisions are best for their highest good. They are able to take inspired action to make their dreams come true and it comes from them, I don’t advise, I simply facilitate their transformation to their best more confident and courageous selves.
Q: Knowing you aren’t alone in something and that there is light at the end of the tunnel means a lot when you are feeling low. What is a typical problem someone you work with might be facing and how do you guide them back into the light?
So many of my clients are smart, switched on women, it’s not that they don’t know what to do but they can’t do it. I see a lot of “just do it”, “push through”, “be ever consistent” shaming in the personal development world without a willingness to understand why smart women hold themselves back on an unconscious level. When you understand epigenetically inherited suppression and the energetic rhythms of women and account for those in your work, women can actually break through the limiting beliefs and negative emotional predispositions that are keeping them stuck, not just in a moment but forever, moving them to a whole new level of performance. Before working with me, my clients know they need to change and they often know what they should do but genuinely FEEL that they can’t, they are stuck. This is where Creatrix® gently, painlessly, removes the resistance on an unconscious level and changes them forever!
Q: As people we are always evolving and learning things on our life journey. Where do you find inspiration?
I listen to a lot of audio books in my car and I follow inspirational accounts on Instagram. I also cultivate social media connections with inspiring people, so my feed is always full of interesting, thought provoking stuff.
Q: Businesses are always evolving too… what are you inspired to do next?
I’m currently in the process of writing and online course due to launch in June and I am wanting to start running weekend and weeklong Creatrix® retreats for small groups of professional women wanting a complete transformational breakthrough.
