Q: How were you inspired to start your business?

When I separated from my husband after a long marriage, I felt stunned, alone and didn’t know where to turn for help. I felt like a rabbit in the headlights. I researched to find support but there was very limited resources, and nothing local. I decided that once I was healed from my divorce, I would offer support to other women in the same situation. I was discussing my vision with a friend, and life coach one morning during a coffee-brainstorming session and said “If I’m meant to offer my support then the Universe will help me”. I immediately went cold when “The Divorce Midwife” popped into my head from nowhere. It fitted perfectly with my vision of supporting women through the rebirthing journey after separation/divorce…..what a gift!
Q: How much do you love what you do?
I absolutely love being a part of this transformational journey with my clients!
Q: If you could go back to a point in your life when you were facing a challenge, what inspirational advice would you give yourself?
Trust the Universe has my back. Anything is possible. My inner strength and resources will cope with anything.
Q: Tell us how your business inspires your customers!
I affirm them that they are not facing it alone; they feel heard, supported and inspired to trust that they also can build a life that is full of fun, adventure, love and promise.
Q: Knowing you aren’t alone in something and that there is light at the end of the tunnel means a lot when you are feeling low. What is a typical problem someone you work with might be facing and how do you guide them back into the light?
My clients often feel lost. Their identity as a wife has ceased and they no longer feel looked after, protected and supported. Their relationships with their spouse, family and joint friends has dramatically changed. I teach them the tools to reconnect with their values and create new, or renewed authentic relationships, and design a shimmering life with confidence, whilst also feeling empowered in their new identity.
Q: As people we are always evolving and learning things on our life journey. Where do you find inspiration?
I find my inspiration from personal and spiritual development, connection with family and friends, reading, and living a life of gratitude and positivity.
Q: Businesses are always evolving too… what are you inspired to do next?
Workshops, another Shimmering Women event, and activities for solo women, I’m also setting up a networking group for Divorce Support Businesses.
